Learn about composting - the natural recycling of food waste with the help of God's most humble creatures - earthworms! We will also be tying it in with life cycles of animals and nutrients, and how this ties in with our place in nature, and the purpose of death and decay in nature and creation.
We will be working with soil, food waste and live earthworms! Please still be brave and come even if you are squeamish! ;) You will be taking these containers home, to work on or to use on your own plants. They are self-contained and the worms should not escape if you seal the container properly.
If you can, bring your own:
- containers (square transparent takeaway containers, medium sized transparent CNY cookie container)
- dried food waste (e.g. coffee grounds, tea leaves, crushed eggshells, onion/garlic shavings, potato skins, banana peels, other leaves and twigs)
- No citrus, please!
